DESCRIPTION

For six years, the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon has dazzled Lagosians and the rest of the world with an incredible race full of pomp and colors Often described as one of the biggest marathons in Africa, this event hosts over 100,000 runners in the city of Lagos yearly.  Access Bank Lagos City Marathon 2022 10KM Virtual Race is for runners who want to participate but will not be available for the physical race.  You can run from any location within and outside Lagos, choose your own start and finish and complete your 10KM Virtual Race in 3 days.

HOW IT WORKS

It is a Virtual Race – you can join from anywhere in the world. You can sign up on Finerge, once you have signed up, you will receive an email confirmation within a few minutes.

At the day of the race, you will track your run with Finerge which uses GPS tracking to calculate your run. Ensure you have the App on throughout your run. You can also take a picture while running to share on your feed and on social media with your friends.

RULES

• You must track your race with the Finerge App.
• Must be registered specifically for the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon Virtual 10KM Race.
• No athlete registered for the physical race will be eligible to complete the race virtually and no athlete participating in the Virtual Race will be eligible to compete in the physical race.
• Virtual race participants will generate their e-certificate of participation in the mail upon completion of their run.
• Virtual runners must be registered for the virtual run and complete the distance to be eligible for gift prizes.

FAQ – HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE ACCESS BANK LAGOS CITY MARATHON VIRTUAL RACE?

Download the app, sign up or login if you have signed up previously. Once you login, you will see the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon 2022 Virtual 10KM Race. Registration is strictly on the Finerge App.

HOW DO I ACTIVATE GPS TRACKING ON RACE DAY?

Just go to the event and start event when you want to run. Please ensure that location/GPS is turned on your phone.

HOW DO I TAKE PICTURES WHILE RUNNING?

Click on the camera icon that comes up while the race is ongoing. Take a picture and click “upload”

HOW DO I GENERATE MY E-CERTIFICATE?

The E-certificate will be automatically sent to your email once you complete the Virtual Race.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO WITH THE FINERGE APP?

The Finerge is also a fitness app. You can run practice races, cycle, do Yoga training and also make use of the weight management plan all on the application.
